** Job Description Reporting to the Events Manager, Live Events, the Live Events Intern will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in planning and executing internal events ranging from small to large-scale at Scotiabank Arena. This role will also provide opportunities to develop effective communication skills when engaging with large audiences and individual department representatives. The Live Events Intern will be responsible for a variety of programs and events and will play an instrumental role in ensuring their smooth and efficient delivery at Scotiabank Arena Responsibilities:
· Support the execution of events by working with the Live Events team to lead all relevant event-day personnel.
· Act as the main contact for internal clients once an event has been booked and assigned.
· Prepare and distribute event details to all departments and ensure accurate communication on all event aspects.
· Generate event cost estimates after consultation with the client and appropriate MLSE departments/staff, exercising accuracy and adherence to operational policies and procedures.
· Conduct event briefings for all event staff on event days and in weekly inter-departmental meetings.
· Assist with the administrative functions, including, but not limited to, event details, event estimates, calendar updates, event scheduling, and weekly venue updates.
· Assist Event Managers, Senior Manager Event Operations, Programming team, and all other areas as requested.

Qualifications:

· Currently enrolled in a University or College degree/diploma in a sport, public relations, event management, or communications-related field.
· Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
