The Role

We’re looking for experienced Mortgage Underwriters who will be responsible for reviewing documentation and underwriting deals from across the country. • Underwrite complex and high‑value mortgage loan applications, including those with unique borrower profiles or property types.
  • Successfully deliver mortgages from the application stage through to funding with the support of your MFO.
  • Execute skilled and clear communication with Sales team, mortgage brokers, and internal/external partners to ensure their understanding of the mortgage process, expectations and documentation required.
  • Liaise with the Sales team, MFOs, Coordinators and third‑party brokers on status updates for active mortgage files.
  • Utilize a hands‑on approach and problem‑solving skills to make prudent decisions on complex mortgage files; if needed, review mortgage documentation.
  • Develop subject‑matter expertise in the functionality and features of products, services, tools, technology and Salesforce CRM capabilities.
  • Remain current on the latest industry trends to secure a competitive advantage.
Who We Are Looking For
  • 2+ years of underwriting experience in the Canadian mortgage industry.
  • A passion for growth and excellence, consistently striving to deliver the highest quality results in a startup environment.
  • Epic focus and energy, with a strong dedication to client service.
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly organized with exceptional time‑management capabilities.
Additional Role Details
