As the Senior Actuarial Analyst, at Sagicor Life Inc., you will work as part of the IFRS
17 Valuation and Financial Reporting Team for the Caribbean.

This role is based in Canada, candidates located in the Greater Toronto Area is preferred.

• Prepare valuation reports for all regions that Sagicor Life Inc. operates
• Implement, maintain, and improve actuarial valuation models in AXIS
• Participate in the IFRS
  17 Project
• Prepare and consolidate financial reports
• Analyse and improve the reporting process by identifying inefficiencies
• Prepare in depth analysis for sensitivity test, capital adequacy and risk management
• Develop and refine controls process
• Perform other ad hoc requests, and duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field with a background in Calculus, Probability and Statistics
• 2+ years of experience
• Demonstrated progress with actuarial exams
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 17 (experience with IFRS
  17 implementation is preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software with Excel expertise
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong knowledge of GGY Axis actuarial software
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proven ability to be deadline driven with strong time management skills
• Knowledge of Canadian reserving standards and rules, e.g. CALM, LICAT, MCCSR, etc. is considered an asset
• Experience in a financial services environment is considered an asset
