My client is a global digital asset trading firm specializing in proprietary trading, liquidity provision, and structured crypto strategies across global markets. Their operations span centralized and decentralized venues, with a strong focus on risk management, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.

Role Overview

The Crypto Operations Analyst will support the firm’s day-to-day trading and post-trade operations across digital asset markets. This role sits at the intersection of trading, technology, finance, and compliance, ensuring accurate trade processing, asset settlement, reconciliation, and operational risk control in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.

Salary Range: US $125,000 (tax free)

• Monitor and reconcile trades across centralized exchanges (CEXs), decentralized exchanges (DEXs), OTC counter parties, and prime brokers.
• Ensure timely settlement of crypto and fiat transactions.
• Investigate and resolve trade breaks, failed settlements, and discrepancies.
• Track funding rates, fees, rebates, and P&L impacts.

• Monitor on-chain and off-chain asset movements.
• Manage hot, warm, and cold wallet balances in coordination with security protocols.
• Coordinate deposits, withdrawals, staking, and un-staking activities.
• Ensure accurate wallet labeling and address whitelisting.

• Perform daily reconciliations of positions, balances, and cash across exchanges, custodians, and internal systems.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management.
• Support NAV calculations and end-of-day processes.
• Maintain audit-ready records and documentation.
• Identify operational risks and propose process improvements.
• Assist in developing and maintaining SOPs for crypto operations.
• Support incident management, including exchange outages, blockchain delays, and protocol upgrades.
• Work closely with compliance on KYC/AML, transaction monitoring, and regulatory requests.

• Liaise with traders, risk, technology, finance, and compliance teams.
• Support onboarding of new exchanges, custodians, tokens, and trading venues.
• Assist with system testing, upgrades, and automation initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in crypto operations, trading operations, or financial markets operations.
• Strong understanding of crypto markets, blockchain mechanics, and trading workflows.
• Hands‑on experience with major exchanges (e.g., Binance, Coinbase, OKX, Deribit, Bybit).
• High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or on‑call rotations, as required by 24/7 markets.

• Experience working with offshore or regulated entities (Cayman, BVI, Bermuda, etc.).
• Familiarity with custodians and prime brokers (e.g., Fireblocks, Copper, Anchorage).
• Knowledge of DeFi protocols, staking, and on‑chain analytics.
• Experience with SQL, Python, or operational automation tools.
• Progress toward or completion of professional certifications (CFA, CAIA, FRM).
• Operational discipline in high‑volume trading environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfort working in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial trading culture.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under time pressure.
