About the Role

As a market leader in illiquid portfolio pricing, the Private Market Valuation team assists clients with post‑trade valuation of alternative investments such as private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds, and banks. The department serves over 600 institutional investors across major global financial centers.

Responsibilities and Impact

The Team Lead will deliver a range of valuation services to alternative investment clients and will:

  • Directly produce or oversee illiquid investment valuations.
  • Manage and train a team of 3–5 analysts.
  • Ensure accuracy of work before delivery to clients.
  • Present findings and respond to client inquiries.
  • Collaborate with valuation committees, auditors, and internal developers.
  • Advise on methodology and contribute to model design and enhancement.
Compensation & Benefits

Anticipated base salary: $140,000–$165,000 (US, location varies). Possible commercial incentive plan and full benefits package. Additional details available at

Qualifications
  • Qualified accountant or CFA charter holder.
  • Extensive experience constructing and reviewing valuation models (DCF, comparables, bonds, intangible assets).
  • Proven delivery of valuations and handling pricing challenges.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of one or more industry sectors such as Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Food & Drug Retailing, Healthcare, Software & IT.
  • Client relationship building and mentoring skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams, prioritize tasks, and adapt to change.
