Fitch’s North American Corporates Group seeks an Associate Director for coverage of the Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals sector, based in New York, Chicago, or Toronto.

- Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of companies in the Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals sectors.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models.
- Engage with industry management teams to gain insights and enhance analysis.
- Present analysis of companies to internal credit rating committees and participate in evaluating other credits within Corporates and related groups.
- Communicate rating rationale to external audiences (institutional investors, sell‑side analysts, media) through meetings, conference calls, press releases, and research reports.
- Contribute to timely, effective research on topical issues.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree a plus for the Associate Director title.
- CFA/CPA or CFA candidate preferred.
- 4+ years of relevant experience; coverage or knowledge of the Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals sector a plus.
- Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience a plus.
- Expertise in Excel and Word.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change and work in a team‑oriented environment.
- Knowledge of and keen interest in learning more about the Healthcare industries.
- Professional background in capital markets and/or credit analysis with strong financial statement analysis skills.
- Desire to deepen exposure to and understanding of debt capital markets.
- Strong leadership pattern and proactive stakeholder engagement, both inside and outside the organization.
FOR NEW YORK & CHICAGO ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $135,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined individually and may vary by education, training, experience, performance, and other job‑related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long‑term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
