The Opportunity

This position is an integral member of the Finance team. The Senior Financial Analyst – Digital Learning is responsible for the preparation of budget, forecasting and various internal and external reports, financial analysis for variance explanation and decision making, accurate accounting of revenue and monitoring of accounts receivable for assigned operating departments. You will foster strong working relationships with your clients and leverage exceptional technical skills to optimize internal processes and drive significant efficiencies.

You will prepare and present insights based on analysis, key metrics trending, regular financial reporting, and planning.

How you will make an impact

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts including monthly and annual budgets, department/division budgets, multi-year plans and financial forecasts. Prepare variance analysis and explanations on actuals vs budget, vs prior year actual and vs forecast.
  • Perform account analysis to identify trends and variances. Collaborate with and provide analysis to cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making. Provide support analysis on opportunities and risks. Interpret, summarize and present key findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assist in preparation of internal and external reports including special project funding, etc.
  • Proactively provide financial support and analysis to the Finance team and the operating departments.
  • Ensure capital assets purchased or developed are properly identified, capitalize and amortized over useful life.
  • Prepare financial analysis for request for proposal, negotiations and projects. Analyze, interpret data and make comparative analysis for proposals/scenarios.
  • Reconcile and record TVO’s various revenue streams on a monthly basis. Oversee miscellaneous sales invoices. Ensure revenue processes follow best practices, proper revenue recognition policies and utilize technology/system integrations to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Oversee accounts receivable processing including review aging report, customer account reconciliations, applying deposits, etc. Proactively connect with operating departments to provide support required to monitor accounts receivable.
