We have a fantastic opportunity for a driven and ambitious wealth leader to drive results with one of the most iconic brands in Canada. The role is focused on supporting financial advisors in building holistic, client-centric wealth practices — deepening share of wallet, enhancing advisory efficiency, expanding advisory capacity, and supporting portfolio implementation services to improve client outcomes.

This role works within retail wealth distribution under the brand of Sun Life Financial Investments Services (Canada) Inc. (SLFISI) offers our advisors and clients with best-in-class asset managers along with a line-up of unique world class offering, platform and solutions.

What will you do?

Advisor & Practice Development

  • Work closely with advisors and field leaders to enhance practice management capabilities, including portfolio construction and implementation, business growth strategies, and wealth solutions to attract and retain high-net-worth clients.
  • Support the introduction and adoption of wealth solutions, managed portfolios, and digital tools that improve advisor productivity and client experience.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for cross-selling, asset consolidation, and growth in share of wallet through consultative engagement.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the firm’s value proposition within the independent advisor community.
  • Business Growth & Execution

  • Lead initiatives that contribute to increased Assets Under Administration (AUA), net flows, and advisor business growth through increased capacity.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of programs and platforms that deliver on advisor and client needs.
  • Leverage analytics and performance data to assess effectiveness, uncover opportunities, and refine field engagement models.
  • Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships across Distribution, Product, Marketing, and Operations to ensure integrated execution.
  • Represent the Wealth Consulting team at internal and external forums, including executive updates, industry events, and advisor councils.
  • Provide market intelligence and field insights to influence corporate strategy, advisor experience initiatives, and platform development.
  • Support Regions, Managers, and Advisors with comprehensive, timely, and expert support to growth Wealth business in the region
  • Build capability and capacity among Advisors on Wealth expertise to address HNW client needs
  • Work with partners in the Dealer Satisfaction teams and the Elite service teams to support escalations from the field and direct them to appropriate SME’s.
  • Work with the Dealer training team to direct and guide advisor and team training to ensure learning programs for Advisors are comprehensive and up to date on Wealth Management
  • Equip Advisors with timely, accurate, and relevant information and materials on Wealth products;
    Communicate capabilities and service offerings building relationships with Advisors and Managers
  • Teamwork & Leadership

  • Provide teamwork and partnership across the Wealth Consultants to drive better outcomes.
  • Cultivate a positive and collaborative team environment within regional and district teams.
  • Work with leaders across Retail Advisory solutions.

  • What do you need to succeed?

  • University degree with a minimum of 7 years of related experience, in the investment/wealth management industry, wealth products, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience includes coaching, consultation, wealth product development, sales in financial services, and relationship management
  • Expertise in mutual funds, registered plans, relevant regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Business acumen; including an understanding of sales and client relationship techniques
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Ability to think and respond quickly, able to adapt to change within a rapidly growing and complex area of personal financial services
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Professional Financial Planner (PFP), Chartered Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Investment Management (CIM) designations are an asset
