As a Financial Services Representative

You will be joining a team of highly engaged financial service professionals dedicated to providing an exceptional Member Experience. In this role, your primary responsibilities will be to understand the financial needs of our Members and provide the appropriate solutions, including front‑line transactional services and advisory sales such as opening new accounts, offering credit, and identifying wealth referral opportunities.

Responsibilities Member Experience
  • Identify and fulfill Member account requests while spotting opportunities to grow the relationship through referrals.
  • Provide Members with advice on designated investment and credit products by promoting solutions that fit their needs.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality to respect Members’ privacy.
  • Resolve Member concerns autonomously and build action plans to prevent future issues.
  • Participate in branch activities to expand Member relationships and support our Digital Ambassador Program.

  • Act as an engaged teammate and trusted partner, cultivating relationships within Member Experience teams and across departments to achieve Retail Experience goals.
  • Communicate openly, promote inclusivity, and foster a sense of belonging in the workplace.
  • Continue individual learning and development to align with Meridian values and deliver on employee engagement plans.
Community Experience
  • Promote Meridian in the community by participating in activities and events, demonstrating our values.
  • Support local organizations and community activities through the Business Development and Good Neighbour Program.
Qualifications
  • Strong desire for career growth within financial services with acquired business and financial industry knowledge.
  • Post‑secondary education plus previous work experience in a customer‑service sales environment or financial services sales is an asset.
  • Flexibility to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and Saturdays.
  • Proven understanding of computer systems and programs, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Effective organization, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
Salary

Salary Range: CAD 41,400 to 62,200 annually. Compensation is based on a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. Candidates with stronger alignment to the role’s requirements may be placed higher within the range. Your recruiter will share more information about our total rewards package during the hiring process.
