Vice President, Local Financial and Regulatory Reporting

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Finance team for a driven finance professional to join as Vice President, Financial and Regulatory Reporting. As an integral member of our team, you will be joining a group of collegial professionals committed to providing exceptional service.

• Assist with the IFRS and US GAAP close for our Canadian legal entities.
• Review local (Canadian) financial and regulatory reporting for our Canadian legal entities.
• Assist in the management of regulatory examinations and internal and external audits.
• Participate in the review of the year-end audited financial statements for the Canadian legal entities.
• Manage the implementation of, and adherence to, IFRS standards and new regulatory reporting requirements.
• Assist in investigations and addressing queries from various functional groups.
• Participate in projects as required.
• Proactively responding to changes in the regulatory environment.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned from time-to-time.

• University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is preferred.

• A professional accountant designation.
• At least 5 yearsof work experience (with a particular focus on financial and regulatory reporting) in the financial services industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of banking products and associated regulatory requirements is preferred.
• Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to influence and gain support for objectives.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
