Fitch Ratings is seeking a Senior Director to join its Alternative Structured Credit group in our Toronto office.
The individual will focus on new transaction proposals that incorporate securitization principals of various types of rated note feeders, synthetic risk transfers, structured credit loan facilities, CLO lite structures, and other private credit transactions backed by debt.

Lead and oversee a team of analysts in the ratings analysis on structured credit transactions using proprietary modelsServe as Chair or senior member for credit committees, guiding rating decisions and outcomesAuthor and review complex commentary and research reports to inform market participants and set industry standardsContribute to the development and enhancement of rating methodologies and analytical frameworksRepresent Fitch at external events, conferences, and with market participants as a senior spokespersonMentor and train junior analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and developmentCollaborate with senior management to set strategic direction for the Structured Credit groupYou May be a Good Fit if:
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, accounting, or economicsYou have at least 10 years of experience in the financial industry, with significant exposure to CLOs and/or Structured FinanceYou possess exceptional analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and meticulous attention to detailYou demonstrate high levels of leadership, personal responsibility, initiative, and self-managementYou can communicate complex subjects accurately and succinctly, both internally and externallyYou have a strong interest in capital markets and structured financeYou are proficient with the Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with programming languages is a plusYou have demonstrated experience managing projects and leading teamsWhat Would Make You Stand Out:
