Job Description:
Our client, a downtown investment firm requires an Associate, Investor Relations to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of Investor Day and client events, including venue selection, vendor management, and full logistics coordination.Manage client onboarding and account administration, including subscription/redemption processing, documentation (KYC, suitability, W-8
BEN, etc.), account transfers, and maintenance of various account types (individual, joint, corporate, registered plans).Provide professional servicing to new and existing clients by responding to inquiries promptly, calculating returns/fees, addressing tax questions, and proactively identifying client needs.Maintain and update the firm’s CRM (Salesforce), client portal, and documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.Prepare and distribute client communications and reporting (monthly/quarterly statements, fund performance estimates, financials, tax slips) and support mailing lists and email campaigns.Prepare presentations and marketing materials for client meetings and assist with intermediary requests such as DDQs, database updates, and regulatory filings.Process client deposits and monitor banking transactions, ensuring accurate reconciliation with client accounts.Liaise with external vendors and third parties, while supporting special projects and broader Client Services initiatives.Maintain strong financial literacy and product knowledge, with a clear understanding of fund structures, fee/class frameworks, and the firm’s investment strategy.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Economics preferred, or a related industry.3–5 years of relevant client service experience in a similar role within the Finance Industry.Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Strong organizational skills, reliability, and meticulous attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools; openness to learning new systems.Strong numerical aptitude, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional telephone manner.Superior interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.Self-motivated and proactive in taking ownership in the quality and completion of their work.If you are already registered with TDS Personnel please contact your Consultant.
