Vice President, Local Financial and Regulatory Reporting

Join Citi’s Finance team as we bring on a driven finance professional to lead local financial and regulatory reporting for our Canadian legal entities. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of our IFRS and US GAAP close processes, regulatory examinations, and audited financial statements.

Position Responsibilities
  • Assist with the IFRS and US GAAP close for our Canadian legal entities.
  • Review local (Canadian) financial and regulatory reporting.
  • Assist in the management of regulatory examinations and internal and external audits.
  • Participate in the review of year‑end audited financial statements for the Canadian legal entities.
  • Manage the implementation of, and adherence to, IFRS standards and new regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Assist in investigations and address queries from various functional groups.
  • Participate in projects as required.
  • Proactively respond to changes in the regulatory environment.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned from time‑to‑time.
Education
  • University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is preferred.
Qualifications
  • A professional accountant designation.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in financial and regulatory reporting within the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of banking products and associated regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • Excellent analytic and problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to influence and gain support for objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
