The Client: Our client, one of Canada’s preeminent wealth management firms, is seeking a CIRO/IIROC licensed Associate Investment Advisor to join their growing practice in downtown Toronto. In this lynch‑pin role you will have deep client interaction and be involved in portfolio design and management as well as the financial planning process for a specific portion of their investment practice.

As the Associate Investment Advisor, you will be responsible for:
- Client Interaction: The management of a specific portion of HNW clients within the wealth management practice. Delivering written and verbal presentations in client‑facing meetings. Developing and discussing financial planning solutions
- Investment Strategy: Contributing to the overall investment strategy and product selection; performing securities analysis and participating in market debates.
- Portfolio Construction: Assisting with the construction of various investment portfolios and managing client expectations through documented research.
- Trading: Executing daily, accurate trades in both discretionary and non‑discretionary formats.
- Administration & Compliance: Preparing compliance reports, account documentation, and dealer forms to maintain KYC and KYP standards.
As the ideal candidate you possess:
- Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant investment management experience within a CIRO (formerly IIROC) member investment dealer is preferred.
- Licensing: Existing securities licensing as an IR, RR, APM, or PM in Ontario.
- Education: An undergraduate degree with preference to those from Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- Designations: Special consideration to candidates who possess either CIM, CFA, CFP or RFP.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with investment trading systems and Microsoft software (Dynamics and SharePoint).
- Financial Planning Tools: Experience with Naviplan or Conquest is an asset.
