Investment Specialist – 12 months
Canada Life (a part of the Power Financial Corporation) is seeking an Investment Specialist to process investment transactions and trades within the Wealth Serv system. This is a temporary full‑time role with a 12‑month contract based in Toronto or Ottawa.
Key responsibilities:
- Full scrubbing of received applications ensuring that SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are met.
- Communicates with advisors to obtain missing information and signatures required on investment applications.
- Application entry into the Wealth Serv system.
- Ensuring adherence to process to mitigate required LOI’s.
- Email wire order confirmation for application submission.
- Completes transactions and trades on Wealth Serv system.
- Transfer follow‑ups – ongoing updates to ensure current data is captured in the Wealth Serv system.
- Retrieve and respond to incoming email inquiries and requests.
- Works extensively with back office systems, Wealth Serv, and insurance carrier websites.
- Work is carried out with some latitude to decide when and how work is completed.
- Results directly contribute to the performance of the team.
- The position requires no direct supervision or coordination of employees, but may occasionally assist other employees by providing them with information.
What you bring:
- Possesses specialized knowledge of investment products, specifically Segregated Funds.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the insurance and financial services industry.
- Proven experience in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of Wealth Serv is an asset.
- Completion of Post‑Secondary School, or equivalent.
Salary: Base salary $45,600 – $68,400 annually, with additional bonus and commission opportunities. The base figure excludes other variable compensation.
