TRG is currently hiring a CPA on behalf of a well-established Toronto-based client. The successful candidate must hold an active designation and will support a dynamic organization operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

This role is accountable for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting and reporting. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, quarterly Board reporting, audit coordination, transfer pricing and intercompany transactions, as well as maintaining and reconciling the general ledger. The position plays a key role in budgeting and forecasting, contributes to new and ongoing projects, and identifies opportunities to improve efficiencies. Additionally, this role supports the preparation and review of financial statements as required.

• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including cash flow statements, income statements, and balance sheets
• Develop, document, and maintain financial processes and procedures to ensure effective internal controls
• Assist in the preparation of materials and presentations for Board meetings
• Perform variance analysis and support valuation exercises for subsidiaries
• Contribute to achieving departmental and organizational objectives
• Produce consolidated monthly income statements and balance sheets
• Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and review balance sheet and account reconciliations
• Lead interim and year-end audit processes, including preparation of financial statements and audit working papers, and act as the primary liaison with external auditors
• Serve as a key point of contact between the business and the Finance team, ensuring timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Coach and mentor Financial Accountants and Finance Clerks as required
• Support the Finance Manager with risk mitigation, cross-training initiatives, and team development
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as requested by Management

• Degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle financial accounting experience
• Experience with Epicor or a comparable ERP system
• U.S. taxation experience considered an asset
• Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting standards
• Familiarity with e-commerce banking applications (AR/AP integrations)
• Working knowledge of GST/HST/QST tax regulations
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Collaborative team player with strong coaching and mentoring abilities
• Comfortable working with all levels of management
• Knowledge of transfer pricing and Canadian ASPE considered an asset
• Experience with royalty payments and/or the music industry considered an asset
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Micro Strategy, EPM)
