Director, Real Estate Finance

** Business Development** – Develop proposals for clients and prospects regarding senior debt needs, coordinating activities through the sales cycle and liaising with other units of CIBC as necessary. Execution of business development initiatives through contribution to the achievement of growth targets by identifying business opportunities and developing financing solutions to meet the needs of the client. Evaluate, structure and play a role in underwriting new transactions ranging in deal sizes from $2 to $300+ million, in all real estate asset classes and deal structures (corporate, interim/construction, and long-term commercial mortgages).

Pre-screen and qualify loans prior to the underwriting and closing process. Identify opportunities for clients and drive results for the REFD business and know how to effectively work with internal partners to solve client needs.

* ** seven or more years of work experience in
** the real estate lending, financial services, or real estate investments. You have business development and credit-related experience and have demonstrated expert knowledge and underwriting skills with respect to real estate lending concepts and all asset classes.
