Senior Accountant

Our client in mid-town Toronto is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to add to their team:

• Plan various engagements and prepare/lead complex audits, NTRs, financial statements and T1, T2, T3 tax returns
• Prepare personal and corporate tax planning
• Prepare and/or review financial statements in terms of accuracy, completeness and presentation
• Perform ad hoc requests (i.e. CRA correspondence, due diligence, financial planning)
• Review own and junior's work for quality, accuracy and relevance
• Coach and motivate others to superior performance; develop the capabilities of less experienced staff through knowledge transfer, training and coaching
• Conduct research on technical matters and recommend the appropriate solutions
• Seek opportunities to add value to client account (i.e. tax planning) and manage client expectations
• Expected compensation range: $70,000 to $95,000 per year, based on experience
• This is a new position with the firm

• 3+ years of similar experience in Public Accounting
• University degree in relevant fields
• CPA, CA designation, or very close to designation
