Manager Finance

Our client is seeking a Manager, Finance to join their team in downtown Toronto on a 6‑month contract. This role will work closely with the Finance team to support both new and ongoing initiatives, with a strong focus on improving operational efficiency and strengthening financial reporting processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Director, Finance, and provide support across the entire finance function, including the CFO.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly analysis of complex and non‑routine financial and operating results
• Produce monthly management reports, including budget and G&A analysis
• Apply strong technical accounting skills to enhance accuracy, automation, and efficiency
• Maintain organized memos and working papers supporting Financial Statements and MD&A
• Prepare income tax provisions, HST returns, and intercompany invoices
• Assist with presentations, reports, and other finance‑related deliverables
• Liaise with external auditors, service providers, and internal stakeholders
• Manage timelines and deliverables throughout the financial reporting cycle in alignment with close process guidelines

Education, Experience &

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting under IFRS
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle complex accounting matters
• Experience working with ERPs; comfortable improving processes and implementing efficiencies
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently
• Comfortable working in a small, nimble team and taking initiative across various responsibilities
• Based in Toronto, with an expectation of four days per week in-office and one flexible remote day
