Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our client is a privately held, well-established real estate investment platform with an operating history spanning multiple decades in Canada. The business has evolved from a traditional owner-operator into a growing investment platform supported by institutional capital, while maintaining a disciplined, long-term ownership mindset.

The portfolio is predominantly industrial real estate, complemented by selective office and retail exposure, with all assets located in the Greater Toronto Area and Montreal. The organization is known for being highly selective, financially disciplined, and execution-focused, reviewing significant deal volume while maintaining strict investment criteria.

Culturally, this is a hands‑on, professional environment with a flat structure and a strong emphasis on accountability, judgment, and collaboration. Team members work closely with senior leadership, are entrusted with meaningful responsibilities early on, and are expected to understand not only what they do but also why and how.

Your New Role

This is an opportunity to join a well-established yet actively growing real estate investment platform where deal flow is strong, capital is available, and investment professionals are given real responsibility early. As a Senior Analyst, Investments, you will report directly to the Director, Investments and work closely with senior investment leadership, playing an active role in the evaluation, underwriting, and execution of commercial real estate acquisitions.

This acquisitions‑focused role provides exposure across the full investment lifecycle, from initial deal screening and financial modelling through due diligence, closing, and post‑acquisition analysis. You will build and maintain financial models to evaluate cash flows, valuation assumptions, returns, and sensitivities, with a clear understanding of what drives the numbers and why assumptions are made. Rather than operating in a siloed environment, you will gain firsthand insight into how investment decisions are formed, debated, and executed in practice.

You will be deeply involved in the acquisition process, including market‑ and asset‑level analysis; reviewing leases, purchase agreements, and transaction documentation; assisting with due diligence activities such as site tours and coordination with external advisors; and supporting transaction execution by tracking documentation and deliverables through closing. As assets are acquired, you will also help maintain accurate deal pipeline tracking and support portfolio‑level analysis.

A key differentiator of this role is the emphasis on translating analytical work into clear, professional, and well‑structured PowerPoint materials for internal investment discussions and select external stakeholders, including lenders and capital partners. Success in this position depends not only on technical ability, but on judgment, curiosity, and a strong understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals. This opportunity is best suited for someone who thrives in a hands‑on, fast‑moving environment, takes ownership of their work, is motivated to develop sound investment judgment within a small, high‑accountability team, and understands the how and why behind the numbers.

What

Sets You Apart

The firm is seeking an analytically strong real estate professional who is genuinely interested in commercial and industrial real estate investing and motivated to build a long‑term career within a hands‑on investment platform. You bring 1–3 years of relevant experience in real estate investments or a closely related environment, with exposure to commercial real estate fundamentals and the ability to contribute meaningfully to a small, high‑accountability team.

Industrial real estate experience is strongly preferred, though exposure to office or retail assets is also relevant given the firm’s broader portfolio.

You hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, real estate, or a related discipline from a reputable institution. Progress toward the CFA designation is highly valued, with CFA Level II completed or in progress preferred, reflecting the firm’s emphasis on strong analytical…
