Private Equity Portfolio Accounting, Senior Associate will be responsible for processing and reviewing transactions, client service, and maintaining a working relationship with the global team. The candidate will participate and/or lead various projects both client facing and internal. Additionally they will be involved in regulatory work ,training, and annual audit.

What you will be responsible for
As Private Equity Portfolio Accounting, Senior Associate you will:
Process private equity transactions and resolve private equity transactions related queriesCoordinate with offshore teams, assist in performance tracking , participate in monthly/quarterly callsDeliver services in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and ensure that assigned work is performed to meet internal standardsResolve routine problems using own initiative and escalate complex issues as neededConduct self-review for completed activities and review completed activities for A1sMaintain relevant documentation for assigned activitiesPerform research and resolution on exception items; escalate unresolved issues to management as neededProactively share new ideas to support process improvement and changes to team processesBuild and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues in all locationsCommunicate effectively with others and seek clarifications where requiredDemonstrate progression of process knowledge and understanding of all relevant functional activities in the teamMaintain professional integrity when dealing with clients and internal business partnersPrimary operational day to day contact for clients as requiredBuild and maintain functional and technical knowledge across disciplines to enable handling the majority of client inquiries at the point of contactSupport client service delivery for operational and risk activitiesIdentify and report all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activitiesPerform other duties as requiredWhat we value

Competent to Expert with a Bachelor’s degree, prefer finance, accounting, economics or business management major2-4 years of related experience in transfer agency, private equity fund of funds or private equity fund accounting.Proficient in email managementStrong problem solving and analytical skillsStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to communicate with various internal teams to resolve inquiries and understanding when to escalateCandidates must demonstrate initiative, be able to perform well under pressure, and simultaneously handle multiple assignmentsExcellent administrative and organizational with the proven ability to multi-task and to work efficiently to meet client deliverablesAbout State Street
