Job Details
The Operations Officer provides operational support within Commercial Banking operations, focusing on underwriting and processing annual credit reviews for Commercial Banking borrowers across Canada. The role supports high-volume operational processing while ensuring accuracy, compliance with credit policies, and adherence to productivity standards.
This position offers exposure to commercial lending operations, financial statement analysis, and credit risk assessment within a fast-paced banking environment.
Key Responsibilities Credit Review & Operational Processing- Complete underwriting and processing activities for annual credit reviews of Commercial Banking borrowers
- Analyze borrower financial statements and supporting documentation
- Ensure reviews comply with lending policies and internal procedures
- Maintain accuracy and productivity standards in high-volume processing
- Manage multiple credit review files simultaneously
- Communicate with internal partners to obtain and validate required information
- Maintain clear and accurate records of processing activities
- Support operational workflow to meet service standards and deadlines
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal credit and operational guidelines
- Identify and escalated issues impacting file processing or timelines
- Maintain high-quality output under tight deadlines and workload pressure
- Post-secondary degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or equivalent credit experience
- 2–4 years of experience in banking, credit operations, or financial processing roles
- Bilingual proficiency in reading and writing (English and French)
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements
- Strong Microsoft Office proficiency
- Finance or accounting educational background
- Prior banking or commercial lending experience
