Job Description
Reporting to the Sr Director, Payments Processing, this position is responsible for leading the end to end operational process related to the high profile, high risk and critically time sensitive transaction environment of Wire Payments, supporting a global client base which includes Retail and Commercial Banking, Global Financial Services, Capital Markets and Wealth Management and RBC US. The incumbent is responsible for the management of day-to-day activities, to ensure timely and accurate processing of all non-STP wire payments which includes the timely management of payment processing.
This role will have the opportunity to participate and lead industry forums and represent RBC at Payment Canada and Swift’s sessions.
- Responsible for delivering a high level of service and support to a global client base by consistently meeting measurable Service Delivery Standards being accountable for management and oversight in the accurate and timely processing of manual payments within all established deadlines
- Overall responsibility to ensure payments is processed in accordance with CPA, CBA, Lynx, Swift industry rules and RBC Financial Group policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the management and leadership of the end to end processing, investigation and reconciliation process for RBC Georgia payments, meeting established SLAs
- Responsible for ensuring all Time Sensitive Wire Payments are processed within the prescribed timeframe
- Subject Matter Expert for ISO Lynx and Swift payments, representing Payment Operations in strategic initiatives and IT projects related to payment operations. Is an active participant in all stages of related projects
- Is primary contact and referral for service partners in all businesses throughout RBC for processes relating to payments processing
- Resolve high risk/high impact issues ensuring quality decisions are made on behalf of RBC as it relates to payment processing procedures
- 5 years’ experience managing large processing teams
- 5 to 7 years experience within the Wire payments space
- Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
- Strong understanding of industry rules and guidelines associated with domestic and international wire payments with a strong understanding of ISO
20022 formatting. - A strong understanding of technology related to domestic and international wire payments.
- Strong Risk mindset and experience with control assessment testing
- Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers
- Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
- Demonstrated change management abilities and the ability to execute all related operational readiness activities to support larger transformational programs
