About This Opportunity
The Finance Manager, Capital Projects, will play a central role in providing financial guidance on business transformation projects and strategic long-term initiatives of Coca-Cola Canada Bottling Limited.
This position will report to the Senior Finance Manager, working in partnership with engineering, strategic infrastructure planning (SIP), and operation teams.
Responsibilities
• Function as a key internal point of contact for business transformation and capital projects
• Assess the financial feasibility of capital projects including reviewing the IRR, NPV, Payback period and guiding the business on key sensitivities that may significantly impact these metrics
• Recognize risks within projects that may hinder financial performance and identify opportunities to offset any gaps to plan
• Conduct post-implementation analysis and analyze any variances that arise between the actuals and plan
• Assist in the development of the business annual budget and monthly forecast by ensuring that the project execution strategy defined by project team is correctly reflected in company P&L
• Prepare monthly reporting on project status
• Review routines and help find opportunities for process improvements and efficiency
• Ad hoc financial analysis on various events that may arise
• Perform month-end closing, forecast, budget activities for engineering and project teams
• Conduct management review of P&L results
Qualifications
• Professional Accounting Certification (CPA) or in active pursuit of designation preferred
• +5 years of experience in related experience, including supply chain or project accounting
• Advanced financial modelling and MS Excel skills to manipulate and analyze data
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and Property Plant and Equipment (PPE) practices
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to work with all organizational levels
• Ability to embrace a dynamic, complex, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment
• Flexible and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Occasional travel needed (5-10%)
