Senior Financial Analyst

Our client is sourcing a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting, for a 10-month contract. The role will require working in office, in the downtown Toronto core, 3 days a week.

• Prepare standalone financial statements for carved-out entities from consolidated financials (IFRS).
• Lead detailed carve-out accounting, including allocation of assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses.
• Analyze and properly account for intercompany transactions at the separate entity level (including transactions that will no longer eliminate).
• Support external reporting requirements, including financial statements and related disclosures.
• Partner cross-functionally (FP&A, Tax, Legal, Corporate Accounting) to ensure accurate entity-level reporting.
• Act as a key liaison with external auditors and manage audit deliverables.
• Assist with consolidation activities and reconciliations during the transition to standalone reporting.
• Contribute to process improvements and documentation of accounting policies.

• CPA designated with strong external reporting and consolidations experience
• Technical knowledge of IFRS and/or USGAAP
• Deep understanding of intercompany accounting and eliminations.
• Experience working directly with auditors.
• Experience with Workiva (Wdesk) or One Stream is an asset; mining industry exposure is a plus.
