We reward hard work and initiative, offering bonuses and stock options. We support career growth and encourage exploration of new ways of doing things, including AI. Our goal is an IPO, giving employees a potential opportunity to hit it big.

The Role

This is a high‑impact FP&A leadership role designed for a strategic finance professional with strong executive presence and a trajectory toward a future CFO position. You will act as a trusted business partner to senior leadership, owning financial planning, forecasting, and performance management across Veem’s global payments business. The role is deeply embedded in unit economics, payments margins, pricing strategy, and growth initiatives, with visibility at the executive and board level.

It is a forward‑looking FP&A role focused on insight, strategy, and influence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic FP&A & Business Partnering – Lead company‑wide financial planning, forecasting, and long‑range strategic modeling.

Partner closely with the CEO, CRO, Product, Operations, and Payments teams to support data‑driven decision‑making.

Translate complex financial data into clear insights and narratives for executive leadership and the Board.

Act as a thought partner on growth initiatives, new products, pricing changes, and market expansion.

Payments & Unit Economics – Own and continuously refine payment‑specific unit economics, including take rates, FX margins, cost of funds, partner fees, and processing costs.

Analyze profitability by customer segment, corridor, product, and partner model (direct vs. white‑label).

Support pricing strategy and margin optimization while balancing growth, competitiveness, and risk.

Develop financial frameworks to evaluate new payment rails, partners, and geographies.

Performance Management & Reporting – Build and maintain scalable FP&A models that support rapid growth and evolving business complexity.

Define and track key financial and operational KPIs tied to revenue, payments volume, margins, and efficiency.

Prepare executive‑level dashboards, investor materials, and board presentations.

Drive accountability through variance analysis, scenario planning, and performance reviews.

Leadership & CFO Trajectory – Mentor and develop junior FP&A team members as the function scales.

Partner with Accounting, Risk, Compliance, and Treasury to ensure alignment across the finance organization.

Play an active role in shaping Veem’s finance strategy, systems, and operating cadence.

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

7–10+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, or investment/consulting‑adjacent roles; strong preference for fintech, payments, SaaS, or high‑growth technology companies.

Proven experience partnering with senior executives and influencing business strategy.

Exposure to global, multi‑currency, or payments‑driven business models is a strong plus.

Skills & Capabilities

Deep expertise in FP&A, financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.

Strong understanding of payments economics (or the ability to ramp quickly).

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tell a clear financial story.

High executive presence – confident, credible, and comfortable challenging assumptions.

Advanced Excel / financial modeling skills; experience with modern BI tools is a plus.

Mindset:
Strategic, curious, and commercially minded.

Comfortable operating in ambiguity and scaling environments.

Ownership mentality with long‑term leadership aspirations.

Why This Role at Veem

Direct exposure to executive leadership and board‑level discussions.

Opportunity to shape the financial strategy of a global payments business.

High‑impact role at the intersection of finance, product, and payments.
