Role SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support and execute day-to-day financial operations. This role requires strong communication skills in both Spanish and English and must be performed on-site at our CA office. The position plays a key role in maintaining communication with banks and internal stakeholders while ensuring financial processes align with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily financial operations, including reconciliations, reporting, and documentation
- Maintain regular communication with partner banks and track operational updates
- Ensure financial documentation complies with internal controls and CA accounting standards
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather financial data and assist in periodic reporting
- Support onboarding of new financial partners by preparing and collecting required documentation
- Maintain organized, audit‑ready financial records
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Compliance teams to ensure process accuracy and efficiency
- Monitor relevant regulatory developments in CA and flag compliance considerations
- Act as the company’s legal representative when required for banking, regulatory, or corporate matters in CA
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA designation (CA) highly preferred
- 2–3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Familiarity with Canadian accounting standards (ASPE or IFRS)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a structured environment
- Proficient in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and basic financial tools
- Must work full-time in-office (on-site)
- Candidates of Colombian, Chilean, or Peruvian background currently residing in Canada (Toronto area) strongly preferred
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada
- Fluency in Spanish (native or near-native proficiency) required, with strong familiarity with LATAM banking practices
