Who are you?
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced bilingual (English & French), Manager - FAR (CPA) to join our team in Toronto, Canada office.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to Finance Controller.
Responsibilities- Lead in overseeing all accounting and financial reporting functions
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Canadian GAAP and IFRS
- Experience in Revenue recognition and Project Accounting and related compliances
- Oversee cash flow management, ensuring optimal utilization of financial resources
- Implement and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets (SOX)
- Collaborating with external vendors around Payroll, Travel and Expenses
- Collaborate with bank around automation of reports
- Collaborate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and tax laws
- Supports the Finance controller in driving continuous improvement in financial processes and systems that directly are linked with the financial systems
- Supports the Finance controller in governance, policy implementation and procedures to support the company's growth objectives
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Proficient in speaking French and English.
Both languages will be assessed during interview. - Minimum 8+ years of experience in finance and accounting, including experience in a finance manager role (2+ years)
- Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP (ASPE), US GAAP, IFRS
- Strong knowledge around Canadian tax laws and regulations (including Quebec)
- Expertise in financial accounting, reporting and compliances
- Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling
- Advanced skills in internal controls and risk management (SOX)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience in a private corporation environment preferred
- Prior Construction, Project & Program management industrial experience
- Experience with Microsoft D365 Accounting Software
- Operational awareness about Power BI, Ms. Copilot and other interactive AI tools.
The base salary range for this full-time role is $90,000.00 - $ per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
