In this role, you will:
Working closely with the Director of Loyalty and Partnerships Finance, the successful candidate will be directly responsible for rewardsliability accounting and reconciliationsIndividual must be able to navigate a high degree of accounting complexity regarding loyalty provisioning and rewards accountingIndividual will be accountable to ensure all financial accounting and documentation adheres to Scotia’s governance polices and are inaccordance with SOXWorking with the Director of Finance and business partners, establish and maintain a monthly and quarterly financial reporting frameworkserving internal and external stakeholders while providing value-add business insights contributing to strategic decision makingCreating and managing several high-profile settlement processes with internal and external partners pertinent to the loyalty partnershipsinvolved with the programPlays a significant role in financial planning and analysis activities involving the Loyalty and Partnerships businessStrong ongoing collaboration and communication across several partners and stakeholders on a regular basis ensuring all teams areinformed and up to date on the financials of the programsMain point of contact representing Finance at the monthly loyalty attestation process involving multiple stakeholders across Retail Product Regulatory Control, Compliance, Finance, Product and Marketing teamsSupporting the Director of Loyalty and Partnerships Finance with KPIs for the loyalty rewards program, including cost per point reporting,redemption rate, liability projections and settlement forecastsChampions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledgeUnderstand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisionsDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
5+ years in consulting, finance, and/or loyalty programsCPA/CFA and Business Degree or MBA, strong background in finance, mathematics, actuarial scienceDemonstrated experience in Financial Accounting and Financial Planning and AnalysisExcellent partnership skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships based on trustStrong accounting, modelling and business acumenExcellent written, presentation and communication skills, ability to communicate on a broad spectrum (from operational discussions to high-level, executive vision)Excellent analytical and critical thinking capabilitiesResults-oriented, self-starter, with highly effective strategic influencing and negotiating skillsDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy environment with a proven ability to meet multiple deadlines and tasks.
