The Senior Analyst, Portfolio Construction & Investment Strategy is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of customized model portfolios for retail wealth advisors. This role provides deep subject matter expertise in asset allocation, portfolio construction, and managed product research, while driving continuous improvement of portfolio frameworks and cross-functional alignment across the business.

What will you do?

  • Work closely with the Portfolio Construction & Investment Strategy (PCIS) team’s Wealth Portfolio Strategist(s) to lead the development and ongoing enhancement of customized model portfolios for retail wealth advisors using mutual funds, ETFs and other managed investment solutions

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on select managed investment products, including performance analysis, risk characteristics, portfolio fit, peer and benchmark comparisons to support PCIS’ product selection decision

  • Lead the development and ownership of written commentary related to asset allocation decisions, portfolio optimization, risk exposures and other considerations to support the adoption of customized model portfolios

  • Lead and coordinate internal team operations, including workflow management, activity tracking, and process improvements

  • What do you need to succeed?

  • 5+ years of experience in wealth and/or asset management with a managed product research/development or investment/portfolio consulting focus

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related field

  • CFA Level II completed preferred

  • Strong understanding of managed investment products landscape (mutual funds, ETFs, etc)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Morningstar Direct, VBA experience is a strong asset

  • Experience with factor modelling and stress testing using Barra and/or other relevant tools is a plus

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

  • Preferred:

  • French language is a strong asset

  • Experience working with financial advisors preferred
