Accountabilities and Decision Authorities / Breadth, Depth & Scope
As a member of the Bank’s second line of defense, this role is responsible for supporting the development, oversight and enhancement of governance, risk assurance, and control frameworks, policies and/or guidelines for enterprise conduct, insider, fraud, investigations and physical security risk management.Operating within the Second Line of Defense, this role supports the organization in maintaining a robust risk management framework by ensuring these risk types are effectively governed, controlled, and reported in line with regulatory expectations and internal risk appetite.Governance and Oversight
Develop and maintain governance frameworks and risk policies related to enterprise Conduct, Insider, Fraud, Investigations, and Physical Security Risk Management.Ensure effective risk identification, measurement, and monitoring processes are in place across all relevant domains.Provide second-line oversight of the implementation and performance of first-line controls, systems, and risk mitigation measures.Proactively identify matters which require additional attention, further escalation, or review, and liaise with the appropriate staff to resolveContribute to the review of internal processes and activities and assist in identifying potential opportunities to improve operational efficiencies for area of responsibilityAssurance and Monitoring
Design and execute risk-based assurance and testing plans, ensuring appropriate documentation and timely reporting of findings.Administer a proactive and risk-based testing program to assess the effectiveness of Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) processes and controls to identify potential risks, weaknesses, or instances of non-compliance or misalignment with regulatory requirements or expectations.Responsible for planning, conducting and overseeing independent testing completed by specialists. Execute some independent testing as applicable. Provide subject matter expertise on controls/ processes. Responsible for leading all phases of the assigned testing engagement.Execute and manage testing activities in accordance with established standards and strategic direction to achieve completion within target timelinesLead thematic reviews, assurance activities, and deep dives into high-risk areas to assess effectiveness of controls and risk frameworks.Execute follow-up on findings raised from testing engagements in accordance with established standards.Manage and track the team's issue management activities till resolution in accordance with the Enterprise StandardsRisk Reporting and Communication
Prepare and deliver regular and ad hoc risk reports, dashboards, and assurance findings to senior management, risk committees, and other governance forums, including the Board.Contribute to enterprise risk assessments and regulatory submissions where relevant.Service as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned risk domains during audits, regulatory reviews and internal investigations.Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with business units, Legal, Compliance, HR, IT Security, Physical Security, Investigations and Regulatory Program Management teams to ensure effective risk mitigation.Develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with key partners.Engage with Internal Audit as needed to provide assurance over risk governance and control effectiveness.Engage with and influence senior stakeholders through clear communication and compelling data-driven narratives.Special Projects:
