HC Global Fund Services, LLC (“HC Global”) is a privately owned fund administrator serving fund managers and investment advisors in the alternative investments industry.
Job DescriptionWe are currently inviting applications for the AML Associate position. This is a fixed-term contract role intended to provide maternity leave coverage, with the contract running until December 9, 2026. Subject to business needs and performance, there may be an opportunity for transition to a full-time position upon completion of the contract.
Client Service Functions- Conduct review of trade documents such as Subscriptions (Initial / Additional), Redemptions (Partial / Full), Transfers, and LOAs for various investment vehicles, including hedge funds, private equity funds, and others.
- Perform review of KYC / AML Supporting Documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Correspond and timely follow-up with clients and investors regarding missing subscription information, KYC documentation, and tax-related documents.
- Perform AML procedures such as maintaining and reviewing OFAC search database (familiarity with World-Check system).
- Conduct Source of Fund verification for Offshore Fund Receipts (Subscriptions/Capital Calls).
- Conduct Paxus Accounting System-related tasks such as linking counterparts to funds via Equity Attribution and Capital Commitment upload.
- Conduct Investor AML / KYC document refresh and AML / Nominee Letter Testing.
- Communicate with various HC teams, including fund administration, treasury and tax, on a variety of investor-related topics.
- Ensure timely submission of timesheets to maintain accurate records of tasks completed and facilitate efficient payroll processing.
- Actively engage in group activities to cultivate a collaborative work environment, exchange knowledge, and contribute meaningfully to team objectives.
- Attend and complete all mandated training programs to enhance skill sets, stay abreast of industry developments, and ensure compliance with regulatory mandates.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant best practices, client‑specific agreements, Risk‑Based Approach Methodology (Example but not limited to the following: Country Risk, PEPs, Sanctions, Investor Type) to mitigate potential risks, and deliver services of exceptional quality.
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to the team's overall goals by performing additional duties assigned by Assistant Managers and Managers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.
- More than a year experience in investor relations or related field.
- Has knowledge of an alternative investment industry particularly in investor relations.
- Knowledge of AML/KYC compliance for United States and/or Cayman Islands preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
