The Transaction Screening team is a risk management function responsible for the governance of sanctions screening solutions globally and enterprise-wide. The team leads and oversees the Global Sanctions Program’s screening management functions, ensuring coverage assessments, tuning methodology, rules governance framework, and screening standards are developed, executed, and maintained in compliance with governing regulations and internal bank-wide policies and procedures. The Business Solutions Expert provides subject matter expertise in securities screening and leads enterprise-wide coverage assessments across multiple screening pillars, including payments, trade finance, and securities.

this role right for you? In this role, you will:
  • Support the sanctions screening solutions management function globally and enterprise-wide
  • Ensure stability and effectiveness of the Transaction Screening application ecosystem and all aspects related to the end‑to‑end flow of transaction screening
  • Provide complete oversight, guidance, and delivery of payment‑related projects in scope for sanctions transaction screening. This entails all facets of project delivery, from solution design, impact assessment, requirements, development, testing, operational readiness, and post‑implementation support
  • Create and/or maintain framework documents, including tuning methodology, rules governance framework, screening standards, and other documentation involving sanctions screening systems and processes
  • Develop a tracking mechanism for documentation owned by the Transaction Screening Solutions Delivery team, and facilitate periodic updates and approvals to the documentation
  • Develop a deep understanding and subject matter expertise of sanctions screening systems, system capabilities, and relevant processes, as well as product knowledge for payments and trade finance transactions
  • Develop and document business requirements for sanctions screening solutions for payments and trade finance transactions
  • Develop and maintain an issues log and track issues to closure for each of the sanctions screening systems
  • Provide support to the Model Validation team to ensure the success of the annual model validation efforts for sanctions screening systems
  • Provide input to the Models & Analytics team to ensure the success of the analytics/reporting and tuning efforts for sanctions screening systems
  • Facilitate the testing and management reporting on the efficacy and efficiency of the systems
  • Provide support to the efforts of operationalizing Risk Tolerance Frameworks for sanctions screening systems and processes; support ongoing tuning efforts to review and opine on tuning recommendations, business rules, fuzzy logic exceptions, etc., and facilitate the documentation and approval process
  • Consider a risk‑based approach in the decision‑making process and support a risk‑based approach culture throughout the Global Sanctions Program
  • Contribute to the preparation of regulatory examinations or internal audit engagements in a timely manner
  • Support the management of the Sanctions Risk Appetite Framework; develop a deep understanding of the Bank’s risk appetite and ensure risk culture is considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions
  • Lead and drive a customer‑focused culture, deepen client relationships, and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
