Our client is a well‑established real estate advisory and capital markets firm focused on delivering customized financing solutions across a range of commercial asset classes. They are seeking an Analyst to join their underwriting team. This role offers a strong opportunity for a detail‑oriented professional with real estate underwriting experience to gain exposure to complex transactions in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

• Partner with senior mortgage professionals to evaluate and underwrite commercial mortgage investment opportunities.
• Analyze property‑level financials, including operating statements, rent rolls, and cash flow projections, alongside third‑party reports (appraisals, engineering, environmental).
• Build detailed financial models, pro formas, and underwriting summaries to support credit and investment decisions.
• Conduct market research and provide insights on lease rates, vacancy trends, construction costs, and comparable transactions.
• Review and summarize external consultant reports, identifying key risks and considerations.
• Assist in structuring mortgage solutions aligned with varying lender and investor criteria.
• Prepare high‑quality investment packages, including Mortgage Investment Brochures and commitment letters.
• Maintain organized documentation and internal databases to support efficient deal execution.
• Develop and manage relationships with third‑party consultants and service providers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in commercial real estate underwriting, lending, or investment analysis preferred.
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Solid understanding of property‑level cash flow analysis and commercial real estate fundamentals.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modelling, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Willingness to obtain a provincial mortgage license within six months if not already licensed.
• Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, transaction‑driven environment.
