Morningstar DBRS seeks a motivated Analyst for its Toronto team, specializing in structured finance ratings. This role requires strong analytical skills and teamwork to effectively rate Canadian ABS and ABCP transactions.
You will contribute by developing a deep understanding of credit rating methodologies and be involved in the evaluation of structured finance transactions.
Your role will promote client communication, helping to build relationships while using your analytical mindset to assess deal structures and collateral. Exceptional attention to detail will enhance your effectiveness in this client-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cultivate knowledge of various structured finance asset classes
• Assess transaction proposals using company methodologies
• Conduct thorough analysis of legal documentation
• Develop and update financial models and analytical tools
• Assist in creating high-quality rating reports
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or similar
• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Previous experience in financial services is advantageous
• Programming skills in Python or R are a plus
