Position: Senior Financial Analyst (5+ years of experience) to support year-end financial reporting using SAP and month-end close
Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (5+ years of experience) to support year-end financial reporting using SAP and month-end close processes- -1
Join a high-performing finance team supporting critical year-end reporting activities within a large financial services environment. This role focuses on month-end close, journal entries, financial reporting, annual reporting, and variance analysis with exposure to balance sheets and income statements. The position offers visibility across senior finance stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute process improvement and automation ideas. Candidates will work alongside experienced finance professionals in a fast-paced reporting environment.
Location:
Toronto/Hybrid (Every Wednesday & Thursday and 4th Friday)
Duration: 2 Months (Chance of Extension)
Hours:
37.5 Hours Per Week
Must Have Requirement:
5+ years of accounting and/or financial analysis experience.Strong background in accounting, financial statements, and variance analysis.Experience with month-end close processes.SAP experience (required).Strong Excel skills.Experience preparing financial reporting packages and annual reporting.Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.Exceptional attention to detail.Nice to Have:
CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA.Big 5 Bank or financial services experience.Financial reporting and analysis experience.Advanced Excel skills.Power Query.Power Automate.Alteryx.Process automation experience.Experience identifying process efficiencies and workflow enhancementsResponsibilities
Prepare and post journal entriesSupport month-end and year-end close activitiesPerform variance analysis on income statements and balance sheetsAssist with annual reporting deliverablesGenerate and analyze financial reports from SAPReview financial information for accuracy and completenessCollaborate with onshore and offshore finance teams
