Corporate accounting expertise and variance analysis define this full-time Financial Analyst contract in Toronto, supporting retail business reporting.
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting Retail, this Financial Analyst provides insight into key retail business results. The work includes financial reporting, external reporting support, audit preparation, and process improvement. Success requires technical accounting knowledge, analytical judgment, and confident stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and present key retail business results
- Explain significant variances against budgets, forecasts, and prior years
- Prepare quarterly external reporting supplementary information
- Support external auditors during reviews and audits
- Prepare accurate annual IFRS compliant banner statements
- Working toward completion of a CPA designation
- Accounting or Business Administration degree or diploma
- One to three years of relevant experience
- Advanced Excel, Access, and PowerPoint skills
- Hyperion Planning, HFM, and Peoplesoft experience
