Senior Commercial Lending Counsel

Advise TD Commercial Banking in Toronto using complex financing expertise and practical legal judgment. Support business teams within a 37.5-hour workweek.

As Senior Counsel, you will advise Canadian Commercial Banking teams serving commercial clients across industries. Your work spans secured lending, leasing, structured financing, security documentation, and legal risk. You will support Small Business Banking, Commercial Banking, National Accounts, and specialty banking teams. The role requires bilingual English and French communication, Canadian legal licensing, and deep financial services experience.

• Advise on complex commercial lending and structured financing transactions
• Draft and negotiate financing and security documentation
• Guide teams on security, priority, perfection, and enforcement
• Provide risk-based advice on operational and transaction issues
• Deliver training on lending, security, and legal risks

• JD or LLB degree, or equivalent professional qualification
• Good-standing Canadian provincial Bar admission and law license
• 10+ years’ financial services experience in complex transactions
• Knowledge of PPSA and RDPRM requirements
• Mandatory written and spoken English and French
