Support alternative mortgage lending in Downtown Toronto as an Associate Mortgage Underwriter managing broker conditions and funding documentation. Work full-time in an office environment.

At First National’s Excalibur department, this associate-level position manages files after underwriting commitment until every broker condition is satisfied. You will review mortgage documents, verify employment and income information, communicate with brokers, and support funding activities. The role serves borrowers who may fall outside traditional credit requirements.

• Manage committed files through completion of broker conditions
• Request solicitor and funding conditions information from brokers
• Review documentation against mortgage commitment requirements
• Verify employment, income, and down payment information
• Audit files and correct information before advancing

• Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
• One year of mortgage experience preferred
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications
• Capacity to learn new technologies and systems
• Ability to manage high volumes and tight timelines
