Financial Analyst Budget Planning

Support Hydro One’s financial planning in Toronto as an Accounting and Financial Analyst focused on budgets, reporting, and variance analysis. This temporary assignment lasts 24 months.

In this role, you will consolidate financial data and prepare business information for management. You will analyze budgets, business plans, staff plans, cost trends, and expenditures for consistency with corporate assumptions and strategies. The position also provides financial guidance to line management.

• Gather and consolidate data from financial and management systems
• Prepare budgets, business plans, staff plans, and reports
• Analyze and explain budgeted, forecast, and actual expenditure variances
• Review financial controls and recommend procedural improvements
• Support project administration, regulatory filings, and financial documentation

• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information
• Experience reviewing budgets, plans, controls, and reporting procedures
• Ability to provide financial guidance to line management
• Ability to assess data accuracy and consistency
• Ability to prepare recommendations and financial documentation
