Drive IESO’s engagement with government officials as the Manager of Government Affairs, focusing on Ontario’s energy legislation and strategic initiatives. This pivotal role requires expertise in stakeholder engagement.
In this position, you will manage a skilled team while reporting to the Director of Government Affairs. Your goal is to cultivate robust relationships with the government and navigate the regulatory landscape effectively. Strategic leadership is essential to advance IESO's objectives in collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement government relations strategy
• Facilitate communication with senior government personnel
• Oversee team performance and development initiatives
• Analyze and articulate policy impacts on business objectives
• Collaborate with internal teams on labour relations matters
Requirements:
• 8-10 years of experience in a related field
• Advanced degree in political science or business
• Knowledge of the electricity sector and legislative processes
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Proven ability to work with sensitive information
