Become a strategic leader within the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as the Sergeant-at-Arms. This senior role focuses on security and collaboration in Toronto, ON.
The Office of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario is looking for an accomplished law enforcement professional to serve as Sergeant-at-Arms. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure safety within the Legislative Precinct while managing the Legislative Protective Service. This position offers a chance to shape policy and interact with senior management teams on critical security issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage safety protocols for the Legislative Chamber
• Oversee armed response units and investigations
• Conduct ceremonial duties during legislative processes
• Provide strategic advice to Clerk and Speaker
• Collaborate with various law enforcement agencies
Requirements:
• 10+ years in law enforcement or military service
• Relevant post-secondary degree preferred
• Proven leadership in emergency management
• Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities
• High standards of integrity and professionalism
