Municipal Policy Consultant Hydro

Lead municipal policy initiatives with Toronto Hydro as a Government Relations Consultant. Engage with municipal stakeholders and senior leadership to manage risks and advocate for key interests in the City of Toronto.

This hybrid role demands five years of expertise in public policy and communications, focusing on municipal government operations. You will analyze risks, provide strategic advice, and represent Toronto Hydro in sensitive situations affecting reputation and customer relations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complex customer escalations and sensitive issues

• Liaise with elected officials to resolve stakeholder matters

• Collaborate with experts to mitigate emerging risks

• Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis to senior management

• Monitor City Council developments and agendas

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science or related field

• Minimum five years in government relations or public policy

• Experience in writing briefing notes and communications

• Strong understanding of municipal processes in Toronto

• Proven ability to engage with public officials on sensitive issues
