This position involves overseeing daily environmental inspections, documenting findings, and advising on appropriate mitigations. You will prepare essential reports for compliance and engage with construction teams to foster best practices in environmental stewardship. Work closely with the Environmental Compliance Officer to address compliance issues swiftly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections and monitor environmental compliance daily
• Log inspection events and maintain photographic evidence
• Prepare and respond to environmental monitoring reports
• Participate in construction meetings and provide insights
• Assist in sampling soil and water for compliance checks
Requirements:
• Degree in environmental-related discipline required
• 3-5 years of relevant field experience
• Certification as a Canadian Inspector of Sediment Control
• Valid Canadian driver’s license needed
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
