Join Toronto Hydro as a Government Relations Consultant to influence municipal policy and advocacy in Toronto. This hybrid position offers a chance to engage with key stakeholders and manage high-stakes interactions effectively.
With a focus on City of Toronto operations, this role requires five years of experience in public policy and communication strategies. You'll provide essential policy analysis and strategic counsel to navigate complex issues and advocate on behalf of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Represent Toronto Hydro in high-risk brand situations
• Work closely with elected officials to address complex issues
• Execute strategies to mitigate identified risks effectively
• Generate analysis on public policy issues for management
• Conduct environmental scans and research best practices
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in public policy or similar
• Five years in communications and stakeholder relations
• Experience with briefing notes and communications products
• Strong knowledge of municipal government processes
• Proven networking skills with public officials
