This role within the Department of Facilities Management and Planning requires an Advanced College Diploma in fire technology and five years of relevant experience. You will be responsible for inspecting buildings for fire safety, implementing fire safety plans, and advising on legislative compliance for new construction and renovations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine inspections for fire safety compliance
• Assess and resolve fire code violations
• Implement emergency fire safety plans
• Inspect fire safety equipment installations
• Advise teams on fire safety requirements for projects
Requirements:
• Advanced Diploma in fire technology or equivalent
• Five years of fire safety-related experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of fire safety legislation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Ontario driver's licence
