Environmental Compliance Officer TRCA

Support environmental protection efforts as an Enforcement Officer with TRCA in North York, ON. Focus on regulatory compliance and public safety to enhance community engagement with nature.

As the Enforcement Officer, you will conduct compliance audits and engage with the public to manage safety issues within TRCA's jurisdiction.

Your role includes monitoring development activities, responding to environmental concerns, and coordinating with various stakeholders. By ensuring adherence to regulations, you will help maintain the ecological integrity of our natural resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits of Planning and Development permit sites

• Address environmental concerns related to development

• Patrol parks to promote safe public use

• Initiate legal actions when necessary

• Document compliance activities and stakeholder reports

Requirements:

• Post-Secondary Degree in Resource Management or related field

• At least 4 years of relevant experience

• Knowledge of regional environmental legislation

• Valid Ontario Class G driver's license

• First Aid and CPR trained
