Policy Development Officer

Make a significant impact in Toronto's communities as a Policy Development Officer. Drive equity and inclusion initiatives with the City of Toronto while managing complex projects and evaluations.

Based in the Social Development, Finance & Administration Division, this full-time role focuses on advancing policy strategies that foster safer and more resilient neighborhoods. Reporting to the Manager of Social Policy, you'll engage with diverse stakeholders, lead monitoring initiatives, and facilitate meaningful engagement processes. This role is pivotal in developing programs that align with the city’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monitoring and evaluation of social policy programs

• Develop and coordinate strategic policy initiatives

• Engage stakeholders through extensive collaboration

• Provide expert advice to staff and leadership

• Evaluate and respond to government policies impacting the City

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Social Sciences or related field

• Extensive experience in project management and evaluation

• Strong skills in human-centered design and collaboration

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Knowledge of equity and inclusion legislation and practices
