Equity and Inclusion Policy Officer

Shape equitable social policies as a Policy Development Officer at the City of Toronto. Focus on monitoring, analysis, and community engagement to forge inclusive solutions.

This role requires you to spearhead social policy planning while leveraging your skills in evaluation and project management. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure policy initiatives reflect the needs of impacted communities. Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate social policy development and monitoring activities

• Oversee research and writing for strategic social policies

• Engage communities in policy discussions for meaningful outcomes

• Advise on policy impacts across the City’s governance

• Encourage transparency and collaboration among stakeholders

Requirements:

• Graduate education in Public Policy or equivalent experience

• Significant background in evaluation methodologies

• Proven ability to manage multi-faceted projects

• Strong connections with community groups and stakeholders

• Knowledge of equity, inclusion, and reconciliation issues
