Position: Municipal Policy Development Role
Join the City of Toronto as a Policy Development Officer in the Municipal Licensing and Standards division. This full-time temporary position focuses on advancing regulations regarding noise, property standards, and more.

In this role, you will be a key player in strategic policy formulation and evaluation. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough research and implementing impactful policy changes while maintaining strong relationships with diverse stakeholders across Toronto’s communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support strategic policy development and program implementation

• Analyze municipal legislation and identify improvement areas

• Create communication materials for internal and external audiences

• Manage projects and budgets enhancing city services

• Foster collaborative relationships with various departments and communities

Requirements:

• Degree in public policy or equivalent experience

• Extensive experience in policy and stakeholder engagement

• Strong project management skills handling complex issues

• Excellent negotiation and presentation capabilities

• Knowledge of municipal operations and relevant legislation
